Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) telah mengumumkan daftar lengkap nominasi Golden Globe Awards 2022 (13/12). Beberapa judul yang sempat hangat di tahun 2021 masuk dalam nominasi, di antaranya Squid Game, Dune, House of Gucci, Don’t Look Up, dan lainnya.
Squid Game berhasil menyabet sejumlah nominasi, di antaranya kategori serial televisi terbaik, aktor serial televisi terbaik bidang drama untuk Lee Jung-jae, serta aktor pendukung serial televisi terbaik bidang drama untuk O Yeung-su. Ini merupakan kali pertama keduanya mendapatkan nominasi Golden Globe Awards.
Untuk film musikal dan komedi, Don’t Look Up bersaing ketat dengan Licorice Pizza dan Wide Side Story dengan masing-masing 4 nominasi. Sedangkan, bidang drama, Dune dapat 3 nominasi, berbanding agak jauh dengan Belfast dan The Power of the Dog yang berhasil mendapatkan 7 nominasi. Sementara King Richard mendapatkan dua nominasi.
Meski pelaksanaan Golden Globe Awards 2022 sempat mendapat boikot imbas pelaksanaan 2021 yang menuai kritik, HFPA menjamin perhelatan ke-79 ini akan tetap berlangsung pada 9 Januari 2022.
