Academy Awards atau yang lebih sering disebut sebagai Oscar siap kembali digelar pada tahun ini. Pada 23 Januari ini, panitia Oscar 2024 baru saja mengumumkan deretan film dan sineas yang masuk pada 23 kategori nominasinya. Pada gelaran tahun ini, film Oppenheimer (2023) garapan Christopher Nolan berhasil mendominasi dengan masuk di 13 nominasi.
Beberapa nominasi yang berhasil diraih oleh Oppenheimer antara lain adalah “Best Picture”, “Best Director”, “Best Actor” untuk Cillian Murphy, dan masih banyak lagi. Menyusul Oppenheimer, ada film Poor Things yang dibintangi oleh Emma Stone dengan total 11 nominasi pada gelaran Oscar 2024, salah termasuk untuk kategori “Best Picture”.
Sementara itu, Barbie yang berhasil menjadi film terlaris pada 2023 berhasil meraih total tujuh nominasi dengan delapan nomine di gelaran Oscar 2024. Salah satu nominasi yang didapat oleh film Barbie adalah “Best Supporting Actor” untuk Ryan Gosling yang berperan sebagai Ken. Oh ya, pada gelaran tahun ini terdapat juga film MCU yang meriah nominasi, yaitu Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 di “Best Visual Effects”.
